POLYPAL equips the self-supporting warehouse of a new kitchen furniture factory

Aratea is the driving company behind the new automated kitchen furniture production center built in the Plataforma Logística de Teruel (Platea).
Need
Within the framework of launching an automated kitchen furniture production center, the company required a logistics solution that guaranteed high operational performance, maximum storage capacity, and seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
Solution
To address the logistical and operational needs of Aratea’s new kitchen furniture manufacturing plant, POLYPAL has designed, manufactured, and installed a custom storage solution based on high-density automated systems. The project includes two distinct storage areas operated by stacker cranes, integrated into the plant’s production flow.
Self-Supporting Warehouse
The first is a 29-meter high self-supporting warehouse operated by a stacker crane. This warehouse is equipped with 4,030 load cells with a capacity for up to 12,000 pallets.
This ensures great operational autonomy for a plant designed to function continuously and automatically.
Warehouse Inside the Production Hall
The second warehouse is located inside the production hall, also operated by a stacker crane, and is designed to store 250 pallets.
Both warehouses are equipped with conventional pallet racking adapted for automated operation by stacker cranes, ensuring agile, safe, and efficient operations, minimizing the manual movement of goods, and optimizing response times in the manufacturing and shipping process.
Aratea's furniture manufacturing plant has been declared an Investment of Regional Interest due to its positive impact on employment, the regional economy, and sustainability.
