Custom shelving for a cash & carry warehouse for animal nutrition and agricultural supplies
Customer
Progando, a company specialized in animal nutrition, agricultural distribution, and all types of items for orchards and gardens, has 7 warehouses distributed across the provinces of A Coruña and Lugo.
Needs
The client needed to remodel one of their public sales warehouses located in Oleiro. The priority was to establish a proper distribution of shelving for effective storage, considering the wide variety of items in Progando’s stock with such diverse dimensions, weights, and shapes. Without forgetting the aesthetic aspect of the display, as it is a warehouse-store open to the public.
Solution
The following storage systems were installed:
- Pallet racking:
- 83 modules of 5,000 x 2,700mm
- With 3 and 4 levels for storing pallets of the following dimensions:
– Pallets of 1200 x1200 of 2000kg
– Pallets of 800 x1200 of 1300kg
In some modules, shelves were created with particle board and in others with tramex, due to the packaging and storage needs of some of the client’s sale products.
- Medium-duty shelving:
- 51 modules of 3,500 x 2,700mm
- With 3 and 5 storage levels of 400kg maximum per level
- Shelves formed by metal panels.
In this area, 10 additional modules of different dimensions were installed.
