Azkar chooses POLYPAL to equip its logistics platform

AZKAR Logistics, currently DACHSER, a world leader in the logistics and transportation industry, with 74 locations and 3,442 employees in the Iberian Peninsula.

Need

Equip its logistics platform in Vizcaya, which consists of two main warehouses and will primarily focus on providing logistics services to clients in the industrial, food, and appliance sectors.

Solution

Logistics operators’ warehouses must adapt to possible changes in stored products. Each warehouse may switch from serving one type of company to another based on the contracts the logistics operator makes with its clients.

Therefore, it was decided to mostly install the most common pallet racking model on the market, to facilitate potential needs for modifications in the warehouse design.
And a part of compact shelving, which makes better use of the floor and is useful for serving clients whose goods do not have rotation requirements and are transported in bulk.

• Warehouse I. Conventional pallet racking for the storage of 6,058 pallets and 1,280 containers.
• Warehouse II. Conventional pallet racking and compact Drive-In racking with a total capacity for 6,166 pallets.
