Bata Chile's warehouse to boost online commerce

The footwear manufacturer Bata is present in more than 70 countries with a network of 5,300 stores and 21 production plants. With over 125 years of history and 32,000 employees, it is one of the oldest and most globally extensive footwear brands.

Need

This new project arose from the company’s need to increase storage capacity to manage the seasonal stock sold through its e-commerce platform.

Solution

The warehouse has been equipped with conventional pallet racking and has a storage capacity for 6,240 pallets of 1,200×1,000 mm, with a maximum weight of 500 kg per pallet.

Each pallet is individually accessible, facilitating inventory management and streamlining operations. This type of racking maximizes available space, adapts to different sizes and types of loads, offering flexibility and scalability.

Being in an area with high seismic activity, the warehouse has been designed according to local regulations.
