Shuttle

The shuttle racking-shelving storage system, also known as a satellite cart or pallet shuttle, is a compact and automated storage solution that uses a motorized cart (shuttle) to transport load units, generally pallets, within the shelving.

Pallet movements are carried out from the loading face, without the need for the forklift to enter the shelving. The forklift places the loads from outside the shelving onto the satellite cart, and via a remote control command, the satellite cart moves the pallet to the nearest free position.

This system is ideal for warehouses with high storage density, where the goal is to maximize available space and speed up material handling processes. It is one of the most suitable systems for warehouses with high merchandise turnover and large volumes of pallets per SKU.
